Reducing risk of contagious illnesses

Arbour Birth Center is rigorous in cleaning standards at all times doing everything possible to protect the families using the birth center. Each birth suite and common areas are cleaned to a high standard using Health Canada approved antiviral and antibacterial cleaners, after each birth suite use. During any time of increased risk of contagious diseases, such as COVID-19 and influenza, all the commonly touched surfaces such as door knobs, handles, light switches will be cleaned after any person (staff or public) have been in the birth suite level.
Staff who are ill, will not come to work at the birth center.
Masking when having any symptoms, even mild, of an illness which can be spread to others is appreciated. Masks are provided. Labouring women are not expected to mask. Please consider others who may be using the birth center at the time you are there by maintaining a distance.
